| Open cockpit, with only blue skies above you
and the throaty roar of a radial engine up front, this is a motorcycle
ride on steroids. Everyone loves their Stearman ride, even if they are nervous at first. It's windy, fun,
and nostalgic, with incredible visuals. Some pilots do not give rides, so availability is limited. Be patient, ask early: It's worth the wait. $60 donation which supports the Fly-In. |

There will not
be tandem skydives available for the 25th
Annual in 2007. We apologize. On a tandem skydive, the passenger is securely attached to the tandem master, a highly experienced skydiver. After brief training, you are suited up and ready to go. The airplane ride goes up about two miles. Then it is all downhill! The passenger is allowed to open the parachute and help steer it. The landing is soft, if sometimes inelegant. A tandem skydive is likely the most fun you've ever had, and it's a fabulous view of the Fly-In. |

Strap on a reserve parachute, sign a waiver, then ride to altitude on an airplane full of happy skydivers. You'll feel like a Top Gun on the way to the jump plane. Watch the skydivers' amazingly fast exit, and now it's only you and the jump pilot left onboard to race the jumpers two miles downhill. |

Balloon |
There are no commercial balloon rides at the Fly-In. Many of the balloonists give their faithful crews long overdue rides. Offer to help a balloonist with crewing (which requires little experience but a strong back), and you might get lucky. Crewing is fun, even if your feet never leave the ground. |
